A significant portion of the activities in the Dashboard involve managing funds and sensitive data. For these actions, Naewe requires additional identity verification through two-factor authentication (2FA). We strongly recommend installing the 2FA app on a secondary device.
Without an active 2FA, your access is limited to view-only mode.
Your 2FA should not be shared with anybody or stored in a place accessible to other people. Leaking your login information in this or any other manner could lead to severe damage to your organisation.
When you perform a sensitive action — such as creating a crypto payment, a withdrawal, or a user — the Dashboard asks for your 2FA code at the Review step of the form.
Enabling 2FA
For each new account, 2FA is disabled by default. To enable it:
-
Open the authenticator app on the mobile device you would like to associate with your account. We suggest Google Authenticator or Authy for the best experience.
-
In the Dashboard, open the user menu (your avatar in the top bar) and select Settings. (In the old dashboard, "Two-factor authentication" was an item in the navigation menu.)
-
In the Two-factor authentication section, click Set up.
-
Using the selected 2FA app, scan the QR code displayed on screen.
-
Enter the 6-digit code shown in the 2FA app and confirm to enable.
Disabling 2FA
If you want to disable your 2FA:
-
Open the user menu → Settings in the Dashboard.
-
In the Two-factor authentication section, open the authenticator app associated with your account.
-
Enter the 6-digit code shown in the 2FA app and confirm to disable.
The Settings page is also where you change your password.
